Some sad news…

Some of you may remember Radhey Shiam who was a featured haiku writer in December 2014 on this blog. It with great sadness that I write to let you know that he passed away on 19th April 2015 after a brief illness.
He was 93 years old and a prolific writer. His way of life was influenced by a Danish Saint Mr. Alfred Samerson (nicked name Sunya Bhai) who lived in India for many years. After meeting with the founder of Indian Haiku, the late Dr. Satya Bhushan Verma JNU, he started writing haiku, and within a few years, his haiku appeared on international forums. He will be missed greatly.
If you have not already done so, please visit Radhey’s blogs at patriciaspork and Radhey Shiam. You can read Radhey’s haiku that were featured here on Pure Haiku last year at 12-15, 12-17 and 12-19
